In November 2020, the New York rapper was shot in the leg during a robbery attempt outside of a store in Houston.
The incident actually happened at the Walmart store on S. Rice Avenue.
In October 2021, Pennick was hospitalized due to asthma, a medical complication he’s rapped about in the past.
“I got asthma, I’m keeping up with my asthma,” Pennick revealed at the time. He added: “I got my doctor on speed dial.”
Signs Deal with Def Jam Records

In November 2021, Pennick signed a deal with Def Jam.
Snoop Dogg was the first one to announce the news during an interview on the Joe Rogan Experience.
“We are doing what we’re supposed to be doing,” Snoop Dogg said on the podcast. “The Butcher’s coming.”
“Snoop told me to be firm on what I want and know what I want,” Jeremie told Billboard. “That’s s–t I always knew.”
In 2021, the rapper also released two EPs – Pyrex Picasso and The Plugs I Met 2.
On March 11, 2022, Jeremie released his third album, titled – “Tana Talk 4,” via Black Soprano Family and Griselda Records.
