ARLINGTON, Va. (WJLA) — An investigation is underway after a black bear was found dead inside a plastic bag in Arlington, Virginia.
According to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington, animal control deputies were called to the area of Spout Run Parkway near North Adams Street for a possible dead dog inside of a plastic bag on Friday.
The deputies were able to identify the animal as an adult black bear.
A conservation police officer with the Virginia Department of Wildlife was also called out to the scene.
The bear was examined and will be under forensic investigation.
