Chris Hemsworths Three Kids Make Rare Appearance To Support Their Dad

May 2024 · 3 minute read

Chris Hemsworth received a major honor this week. The Thor actor was given a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is, of course, a big. deal. So even though his three kids — whom he shares with wife Elsa Pataky — tend to stay out of the spotlight, they came to support their dad and his huge accomplishment.

During the ceremony, Hemsworth and Pataky sat beside the Walk with their 12-year-old daughter India and their 10-year-old twin sons, Sasha and Tristan. The three looked effortlessly cool in their laid-back outfits, and it was so nice to see them out there on their dad’s Big Day, just a couple weeks after he co-hosted the 2024 Met Gala. After the speeches, it was time for the family of five to take photos with the star, but India had no interest. She preferred to stay on the side while the paparazzi snapped photos of her parents and brothers — one of whom sat directly on their dad’s star — and we can’t say we blame her. I didn’t want anyone taking my picture at that age either. She was inevitably photographed while sitting, but she couldn’t be forced to stand on the Walk — no matter how proud she was of her dad.

Hemsworth told Entertainment Tonight that he did think this honor gave him some “cool points” with his kids but that India’s thoughts were likely elsewhere.

“My daughter last night was like, ‘Hey, what are we doing tomorrow?’ And I said, ‘It’s the star ceremony.’ She’s like, ‘I thought we were going to Six Flags?’ I was like, ‘No that’s the next day.’  She was like, ‘Oh, cool, ok,'” he said. And as a tween who likes theme parks, a piece of her was probably bummed to have to wait another day.

In his acceptance speech, the Avengers star had the sweetest thing to say to his kids who “endlessly” inspire him for “so many reasons.” Sarah Herron Related story The Bachelor’s Sarah Herron Just Welcomed Twin Daughters & Gave Them the Most Gorgeous 'Coquette' Names

“They are an abundance of joy and passion,” he said. “They inspire me to increase my VO2 max in the strength and conditioning, just to wrangle them and keep up with them. Their ability to live in the moment and to dive into life head first and to have fun and to be joyous and playful is a constant reminder that that’s what life’s about. And it’s a constant inspiration.”

“So I love you guys,” he continued. And we’re confident that’s true even if they prefer the sidelines and Six Flags.
