The newly crowned 'Queen of Broadway' Helen Mirren lived up to her new name on Tuesday as she travelled in style around New York City. Dame Helen, 69, was photographed smiling and sticking her bare feet out of the window of a black SUV as she was driven through the East Village, following her win at the 2015 Tony Awards.Helen was understandably in high spirits as she cooled off her feet in the summer heat. On Sunday, the British star took home her first ever Tony award for her role as the Queen in The Audience.

She has previously won an Oscar for her portrayal on the monarch in the 2006 film set in the aftermath of the death of Diana, Princess of Wales. And as she was named winner of the award for best performance by a leading actress in a play, Helen exclaimed: "Your Majesty, you did it again."The Audience, which has already had a successful run in London, centres on the private weekly meetings held between the Queen and her prime ministers over six decades. Helen beat fellow British actresses Carey Mulligan and Ruth Wilson, as well as Elisabeth Moss and Geneva Carr, to take home the prize.
