Kerber's Farm, 309 West Pulaski Road, Huntington: A family destination this farm sells fruits, vegetables and fresh eggs, takeout breakfast, lunch and home-baked goods including plenty of pies, from coconut cream to apple crumb to strawberry rhubarb.

Tugba Simsek in a Facebook post on Kerber's Facebook page calls it "A wonderful spot with delicious pies."

Briermere Farms 4414 Sound Ave., Riverhead: They make pies, bread, muffins, cookies, cakes, jam, and jelly from scratch. Most of the fresh fruit used in the farm's bakery is grown on-site.

Julianne M. of New York on Yelp noted, "So many flavors. So hard to choose," in a review. "Called ahead and had a pie put aside, but there were plenty I don't think they would have run out of the blueberry crumb. Absolutely delicious and clearly fresh berries."

Mademoiselle of Patchogue, 61 N. Ocean Ave., Patchogue: A French patisserie where you can enjoy espresso, croissants, French baked goods and pies, including apple, chocolate cream, pumpkin and Frangipane (almond and fruit).

Arielle Rivera Shea posted a recommendation on their Facebook page, "The quiche and croissants were delicious and the cheesecake and apple pie tarts were the perfect end to our day."

The Pie of Port Jefferson, 216 Main St., Port Jefferson: Crust - theirs is coal-fired, unique to Long Island, "thin and crusty" and laden with fresh tomatoes and mozzarella, cut into triangles. That's a pie at this rightly named restaurant. Pizza, calzones and Italian food are their specialties.

A Facebook recommendation on their page by Connie Lale Spellman  says, "Great coal-fired pizza on Long Island."

Round Swamp Farm, 184 Three Mile Harbor Road, East Hampton: A quaint market and bake shop with prepared foods, cakes, and pies, including key-lime and coconut cream.

Mary Robbins in a Google review says, "...this place is wonderful. Excellent pre-prepared meals, delicious baked goods and very friendly staff. I am literally here once a day. Love (all caps) this place."
