The Historian is one of the treasure maps in the new God of War. The adventure starts as soon as you’ve found the scroll detailing where the goodies are hidden. Well, maybe detailing is a bit too strong of a word – it’s actually more of a hint. Depending on who you ask, it may not even be a good hint. And it comes packed with a drawing. The two are supposed to help you find the treasure. If you’re having trouble with it, be sure to browse our God of War Historian treasure map location and riddle solution guide.

Description: I wished to make a contribution to Fafnir’s collection of relics. I arrived to find the door locked and Reavers blocking the way I came. I quickly buried my treasure and hid as fast as I could. If I manage to escape, I’ll return to this spot.
To find the treasure itself, you’ll have to go to Fafnir’s Storeroom. That much is clear from the text on the scroll. If the game hasn’t led you there yet, it’s too early to try to complete this challenge. Once you’re in the valley with the watefall, look for a tall cave entrance with four-sided stone pillars on both sides. When you approach it, you’ll see there’s a set of stairs leading up to a closed door, with goat head sculptures on each side. The treasure is buried in the ground next to the left one.
