iHeartMedia Plans To Open Second Digital HQ In Nashville

NASHVILLE, TN (CelebrityAccess) — iHeartMedia announced plans to expand its footprint in Nashville, with Music City seerving as the location for the company’s second digital headquarters.

Opening its doors in Q1 2020, the new second headquarters will be a new hub for the iHeartRadio digital product team, which will collaborate with existing teams in New York, San Antonio and Silicon Valley.

Nashville, regarded as one of the nation’s best local music scenes, also continues to see rapid growth as a tech center as well, with a wide range of companies from startups to established players in tech, planting their flag there.

Additionally, the city is home to 20 universities and colleges, many of which feature technology programs, facilitating recruitment of talent for private sector ventures.

Since the launch of its digital platforms in 2011, iHeartRadio has grown to become a dominant player in streaming broadcast radio. Their digital app allows live streaming from thousands of commercial radio stations, as well as podcasts, digital on demand playlists and custom stations. Presently, the service has more than 135 million registered users and is available on over 250 platforms and over 2,000 different connected devices, iHeart reported.
