Need a ride? Shuttle service coming to Bedford

July 2024 · 2 minute read

Bedford County will soon be accessible to more people. One man is launching a shuttle service that will run an hour loop throughout the county.

Two years ago, when Pal Paranamana moved the Bedford he noticed one thing was missing, public transportation. That inspired Pal to create the Bedford Shuttle, which he says will cost $5 for people to ride. The plan is to have the shuttle take off from Bedford Springs and run a loop around the county.

“It will cover most of the Bedford town going back to the shopping malls by the Walmart. And then it will cover the hospital emergency room and also the outpatients coming back to the town and it's going to the turnpike entrance,” said Pal Paranamana the owner of Pals Car Service.

The shuttle will also stop at all of the hotels and motels in the area and the Bedford fairgrounds. Pal hopes this well help everyone, whether you live in the county and need a ride to the store or you’re visiting and want to see more of the area.

“What I want is to give a constant transportation system to the community. There's no other service for people to reach to,” said Paranamana.

If there’s a demand for the shuttle Pal says he’ll be ready to expand the business. Pal plans to have the shuttle running in the next week or two and says people can check out the Bedford County Chamber of Commerce for updates. In the meantime, you can call Pal to rent the shuttle 814-977-3597.
