How to Fix God of War Ragnarok No Sound on PS5, Audio Bug

UPDATE: According to our reader Andrew (thanks, Andrew), a fix that seems to work pretty well is to go to the Settings, then Graphics & Camera, then Screen Calibration. Find the High Frame Rate Mode option and turn it off. Hopefully that will help you out. Original text follows.

To fix the audio bug where there’s no sound in God of War Ragnarok on PS5, there’s several potential fixes you can try. Incidentally, these should work on the PS4, in case you run into the sound issue there. First off, try restarting the game. By that, I mean exit the game and fully close the app. Then, go back into the game and see whether the sound is back. If that doesn’t work, then the next step is to manually switch the sound source from your headphones to your TV. You can then go ahead and switch back to the headphones if the problem goes away. If it doesn’t, well, then it’s time for more drastic action. By that, I mean re-install the game fully.

And there you have it, that’s how you fix the no sound audio bug in God of War Ragnarok on PS5. At least, those are all the fixes we are aware of. If you know of any other solutions that we haven’t mention, feel free to leave a comment below. The unfortunate fact is that no workaround is guaranteed to work. The developers haven’t acknowledged the bug just yet, which doesn’t necessarily mean they’re not aware of it. Still, you should contact Sony Santa Monica and let them know that you’re experiencing the sound issue. Just, you know, keep things civil and don’t harass the developers. I’m sure they’ll roll a patch out as soon as possible.
