Pittsburgh (WJAC) — The Pittsburgh Steelers have signed free agent linebacker Kwon Alexander to a one-year deal.
Alexander, who is entering his 9th season in the NFL, is coming off of a breakout year with the New York Jets.
He has played in 95 career games, recording 12.5 sacks, 8 interceptions, 11 forced fumbles and five fumble recoveries.
Alexander was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2015 and has also previously played for the New Orleans Saints and the San Francisco 49ers.
He is the fifth free agent linebacker that the Steelers have signed this offseason, with Cole Holcomb, Elandon Roberts and Markus Golden as the other notable signings.
