Police arrested a 31-year-old man from Wilkes-Barre after investigating allegations that he had been sexually assaulting a child for over a year.

Bryan Nee was arrested after the victim, a 5-year-old girl, was questioned by a forensic interviewer at the Luzerne County Children’s Advocacy Center in Wilkes-Barre.

The victim told investigators that Nee made her touch him while bathing that Nee said it was “OK," but that she needed to keep it a “secret.”

The investigation showed that the child was diagnosed with genital herpes likely transmitted by Nee, who has a history of herpes simplex Type 1.

Nee was arraigned on charges of rape of a child, indecent assault, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor. He was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $25,000 bail.
